n RONAN NORTH RONAN-NORTH CONSTRUCTION Crews will return in 2024 The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Riverside Contracting, Inc. have completed work on the Ronan-North project for the 2023 construction season. The project starts at the Round Butte Road and US Highway 93 (US 93) intersection in Ronan and extends north for approximately two miles, ending past Spring Creek Road. PAUSES This year, crews widened the highway to four lanes, improved drainage, and began work on a new shared-use path connecting Round Butte Road with the existing shared-use path along US 93. In addition, a short segment connecting 1st Avenue to US 93 was constructed in preparation for the Ronan-Urban project. Scheduled work for next year includes additional paving and final epoxy road markings. Streetlights and the new traffic signal at the intersection of US 93 with Old US 93 and 3rd Avenue will also be installed. The Round Butte Road Path - Ronan project is expected to be completed in early 2024. This project includes building two new sections of sidewalk on the north side of Round Butte Road. This schedule is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen factors.
