THANK YOU T officers and members of the Marine Corps League Hellrearing Detachment 1041 would like to say thanks to all the citizens of our communities throughout Lake County for all your support this past year The detachment supplied U.S. Flags for the cemetery again this year but funds for the Fly 'em High Program are petting low and the need for more will have to be purchased for 2020. If you wish to donate to this fund it is s60 per flap (tax deductible) and you can have your donation listed as a Supporter, in memory of, on behalf of, which a brass plate will be mounted to the memorial in front of the star in the Veterans circle, For more intormation contact John Miller at 8 We were able to assist two high school students with $500 scholarships checks each. The celebrated the 244th Marine Corps Birthday on November We would like to congratelate the following award recipients, for Lake County- Law Entorcement of the Year- K9 Officer Brandon Smith of Ronan Police Department, Marine Corps League Detachment Associate of the Year- Henry J. Pieper. Membership Awards were presented to Barbara Morin. Nancy Pieper, Loran Lyday and Merrill Feiker, James Stogner. Lisa St Clair was awarded her Life Membership. Community Service awards went Michael Dennison, Nancy Pieper, Henry J. Pieper, Ernest Butt. Meritorious Commendations were presented to Dusty and Harley Shepard for their continual service to those in need throughout their community. The detachment donated $100 to Cheerfal Hearts in Memory of Marine Fred McFarland and a $100 to the Shriners Children Hospital in Memory of Marine Manuel Ferra. Thank you to the following businesses that supported our 2019 Birthday Silent Auction which all proceeds goes to the detachment scholarship program. The unit is in full swing in getting drop boxes out into the community. Please support this program by dropping a new unwrapped toy in one of the containers throughout Lake County The Marines and supporters of this campaign will be standing on Hwy 934 between the Polson Bridge and 2nd Street East on Saturday December 7th from 10am to 2pm for our annual Toys tor Tots Street Drive. If you are into having a good time with friends and good music be at the Lake Bar on Hwy 93 Polson from 6pm to closing on Friday December 13th for a three band nightr with proceeds going to the local Toys for Tots.
